In case you happen to get disoriented in your hotel room, there is always plaque on the wall or the ceiling pointing the direction of Mecca for prayer time.

Or if you can't find the plaque on the ceiling to find which direction to pray, just look up! In some hotels, it's found on the ceiling.

My camera could not begin to capture the vast beauty of this honeycomb archway entrance to the Imam Mosque. This was my favorite site in Iran. I couldn't get enough of it.

The scaffolding and canvas roofing was still in place following Ramadan, a month of increased prayer when Muslims purify themselves through self-restraint and good deeds.

Every square inch of the alcoves and arches are covered by seven-color tile mosaics of geometric designs, floral motifs, and calligraphy.
