This stand was rather formal compared to many of the seafood offerings on Playa Blanca, which included hawkers walking up and down the beach with a knife and a bucket of shellfish.

I could not resist the Pina Colada "in the raw." For about $3 US, you can get a fresh young coconut, colada mix, and a couple of kinds of rum over ice.

The only problem with drinking out of a coconut is that it has no "bottom," so you have to drink the entire thing before you can set the coconut down!
