We were all staring at this arch, when we hard a loud pop that sounded like a gunshot. The iceberg behind us had calved....

After calving off a significant portion, the iceberg now becomes unstable and begins to roll toward us. We speed out into open water in the nick of time, and turn to watch it rock back and forth, up and down...

This was my favorite of all the icebergs. The camera couldn't begin to capture the drama of the curvature...

From the other side, it reminds me of the Sydney Opera House. But my Aussie friends did not see the resemblance.
